In the Fall I took a contract with Cornerstone Theatre here in Canmore doing some set stuff and then running their audio for their production of Life Could Be A Dream (which is a bit ironic). Itwas a big learning curve and very inspiring to listen to the cast belt out old rock n' roll each night. If you haven't heard of Cornerstone - check them out at www.atthecorner.ca
In late November I took on another contract producing some local events to be held in conjunction with the 2010 Cross Country World Cup - Feb 5th and 6th. One of my tasks is to build a cross-country ski track down the middle of Main Street for that weekend - yup. You can check out the full schedule at www.tourismcanmore.com
Of course, I am also continuing to work on the artsPeak Festival, so, a busy boy of late and I am glad that the brunt of this is now past so that I can get back to performing.
Joan, Ray and I took part in a local fundraiser, Raise the Roof for Haiti on Jan 29th and this was a gas. It has been some time since we have done a show together and it went very well. A Good night for all involved and for the people of Haiti too!
I have recently confirmed 2 shows in Toronto: a featured set, Tuesday, Feb 23rd at Gary 17's openstage at the California Bar and Grill and then a headline act, Friday, Feb 26th at The Liberty Cafe, so this will be fun
I should mention that I would be very interested in hearing from you should you require some musical entertainment for your next special event. I have a good catalogue of songs, both my own and some killer covers which I can tailor to meet your needs. And I can also get a 'little help from my friends' like Ray and Joan should you require more than a solo artist.
